Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra on Monday directed Discoms to ensure uninterrupted power supply in the state in view of the heatwave and board exams.
Mahapatra reviewed the power supply situation in the state in a high-level meeting held virtually.
While directing the Discoms to make optimal use of hydro power, Mahapatra asked MCL to ensure coal supply to all power-producing units in the state. Railway authorities will be asked to make available more racks for transportation of coal to thermal power stations.
Principal Secretary (Energy) Nikunjabihari Dhal and officials from the Discoms, Gridco, OPTCL, OHPC and OPGC and other power-producing companies attended the meeting.
Consumers are requested to regulate their AC load, flexible industrial load and agricultural load during peak hours ( 7 pm to 11 pm) for next 7 days to maintain stable power supply. @SecyChief @GridcoOdisha @TPWesternOdisha @TPCentralOdisha @tpnodl_balasore @TPSODL
