Berhampur: Four fishermen sustained minor injuries after two boats collided in the sea near Gopalpur in Ganjam district early on Sunday.
According to reports, a boat with 10 fishermen on board was returning to Gopalpur coast when it collided with another boat heading towards the deep sea. There were eight fishermen in the second boat.
The two boats were damaged in the collision and sank into the sea. However, all the fishermen managed to swim to the shore. The incident occurred around 500 metres from the coast.
Later, the fishermen said visibility was very poor due to dense fog and they found it difficult to keep track of other boats in the vicinity.
