Berhampur: Mutilated body of a lady doctor was recovered from the railway tracks at Chhatrapur in Ganjam district on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Archana Das, a resident of Pattapur village. The body has been sent for postmortem.
According to sources, Archana had pursued a medical degree from MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur. She was working in a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
She had been married for four years to Dr Anjan Dash, a cardiac anesthesiologist at a private hospital, and was under considerable mental stress over family issues. She was living at her father’s house for quite a long time after leaving her job.
“My daughter had received a notice from Bhubaneswar Family Court. She was under duress post receiving the notice. Besides, her in-laws had been torturing my daughter since long,” father of the deceased alleged Raghunath Das.
