Kendrapara: Fire personnel on Friday fished out the body of a second boy who had drowned in the Birupa River in Kendrapara district on Thursday.
Divyajyoti Pradhan and Akash Das, of Chhoti village under Derabish police limits, had drowned while trying to swim in the river. Sources said Akash had got swept away while trying to save Divyajyoti from drowning. Divyajyoti’s body was fished out on Thursday itself. Fire service personnel later launched an operation to look for Akash.
Akash was doing his Plus-II while Divyajyoti had written his high school exams.
