Bhubaneswar: The body of a youth was found floating in Swetaganga, a sacred tank situated to the west of Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri town, on Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Govind Bindhani (20) of Benapur under Basta police limits in Balasore.
According to sources, some locals spotted the body and informed police and Fire Brigade personnel. Following which, the body was recovered from the tank and then sent to district headquarters hospital for postmortem.
Investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to his death, a police officer said, adding that his family has also been intimated.
