Mumbai: Bollywood actor and former Bigg Boss contestant Ajaz Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday, a day after he was detained for interrogation over possession of contraband drugs.
Khan was taken in custody on Tuesday
from the Mumbai airport soon after he arrived here from Rajasthan. Alprazolam tablets were recovered from his residence by the agency during searches in the city’s Andheri and Lokhandwala areas.
According to NCB, Khan is part of narcotics peddler Shadab Farooque Shaikh alias Shadab Batata’s syndicate. NCB arrested Shaikh last Thursday and over 2 kgs of the banned mephedrone drug were recovered from him.
