New Delhi: Lohri is being celebrated today. The celebrations may not be very upbeat due to the pandemic but the spirit of the people is very high. Small pyres of wood are ready waiting to be lit at dusk. A majorly North Indian festival, Lohri marks the end of winter solstice and is celebrated every year on January 13.
Bollywood celebrities took to social media wish everyone.
Here’s what Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “Lohri di lakh lakh vadayiyaan ! Happy Lohri.”
Karan Johar wrote, “#happylohri to one and all….may this festival ring in the positivity and light we all need .”
Taapsee Pannu shared a picture of herself sitting near a bonfire and wrote, “Happy Lohri.”
Here is what Diljit Dosanjh wrote, “2021 Di LOHRI Desh De KISAN’AN De Naal. BABA SAB DA BHALA KAREY (2021 Lohri with the farmers of the country. May god bless all).”
