Pipili: Police have begun the hunt for the miscreants who hurled bombs at the house of the BJP leader Ashrit Patnaik in his village late on Friday night.
According to reports, some unidentified miscreants hurled two country-made bombs at the house of Patnaik in Kamakantia village under Balanga police limits in the late night.
While the front door of the house was damaged, there was no loss of life and property.
Following a complaint, police rushed to the village for an on-the-spot investigation.
Though the exact reason behind the incident was not immediately known, sources in the village said that the incident could be the fallout of a political rivalry.
Ashrit had contested the Pipili Assembly seat which was won by the sitting BJD MLA Pradeep Maharathy.
