London: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is set to visit India in April-end. This will be his first major international trip following Britain’s exit from the European Union as part of efforts to promote UK opportunities in the region, Johnson’s office said on Monday.
Johnson had earlier planned an Indian trip in January for trade talks between the two countries but had to cancel the tour amid a surge of COVID-19 infections in England.
At that time, his office said he hoped to rearrange the India visit before Britain could host the meeting with leaders from the seven rich countries in June.
