Bhubaneswar: The CBI on Saturday arrested Charchit Mishra, son of Odisha industrialist Mahimananda Mishra, in connection with the Paradip Port bribery case.
Charchit Mishra, Director of Orissa Stevedores Ltd (OSL), was arrested after he came to the CBI office at 4 am on Saturday.
The arrest comes two days after the CBI raided the properties of Mahima Mishra, including his house and office, at different locations in Cuttack and Paradip.
The CBI had also questioned his sons Chandan and Charchit in connection with the case.
The agency on Friday arrested four persons, including a top official of Paradip Port, in connection with the bribery case — Saroj Kumar Das, Chief Mechanical Engineer of Paradip Port, contractor Sumant Rout, KCT Group’s Manager (Port Operations) Sankha Subhra Mitra and OSL DGM (Operations) Surya Narayan Sahoo.
