Cuttack: Taking strong exception to the statement of the BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra that the Agriculture Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo has bribed the Congress leaders to remain silent on the Nayagarh minor murder case, the Barabati-Cuttack MLA Mohammed Moquim has served a legal notice on him.
Talking to media, Moquim said as Patra has tarnished the image of the Congress with his atrocious statement, he should withdraw his statement by holding a press meet and tender unconditional apology within a week and comply with this within 15 days. On his failure to do so, we will be forced to initiate criminal proceedings for defamation under the provisions 1860 of the IPC, Moquim added.
