Cuttack: The flying squad of excise department seized brown sugar worth Rs 30 lakh at Manguli area on National Highway-5 in Cuttack district on Monday.
Two persons identified as SK Sahid (30) and Joda Soren (24), hailing from Arad Bazaar area in Balasore district.
Two motorcycles were seized from their possession.
The raid was conducted after being tipped-off that the duo were smuggling the contraband from Balasore to supply the same at different places in Cuttack, excise sources said.
