Jagatsinghpur: Brown sugar worth Rs 4.70 lakh was seized in joint raids by police and Excise officials and two alleged peddlers were arrested in Jagatsinghpur district on Friday.
The raiding teams seized 20 gram of brown sugar from Alipingal and 27 gram of the contraband from Kusida under Sadar police limits in the district.
The two accused arrested during the raids were identified as Dibya Ranjan Sethi and Deepak Kumar Rout.
According to police sources, the two were involved in drug peddling for a long time.
