New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: The Home Ministry on Monday approved the premature repatriation of senior IPS officer Susanta Kumar Nath to his parent cadre in Odisha.
Nath is serving as Inspector General of the Border Security Force (BSF). He is a 1993-batch IPS officer of Odisha cadre.
The office memorandum to the BSF Director General said that premature repatriation of Nath was approved on his request. “Date of relieving of the officer may be intimated to this Ministry,” it added.
The IPS officer was appointed to the post on deputation basis in September 2020 for a period of five years, while serving as the Director of State Forensic Science Laboratory. He was promoted to the Director General of Police (DGP) rank in January this year.
