Ganjam: Unidentified burglars have decamped with gold and silver ornaments and Rs 25,000 in cash from a house at Shasanapadar village near Golanthara in Ganjam district.
The burglars also stole some costly ‘Pata’ saris from the house on Thursday night, police said.
According to reports, the miscreants entered the house of one Kuna Padhi by breaking the door at the back. They then entered the room where Kuna and his family members were sleeping and applied a spray to make them unconscious. They then looted around 70 g of gold ornaments, 200 g of silver ornaments, Rs 25,000 in cash and some saris from the room.
Golanthara police said they have registered a case based on a complaint by Kuna.
