Bhubaneswar: Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 would witness a convergence of ideas, innovation, and investment with noted business leaders, including Lakshmi Niwas Mittal, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Anil Agarwal, Sajjan Jindal, Karan Adani and TV Narendran Hitesh Joshi, scheduled to attend the summit to be held at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar on January 28-29.
Sharing the updates on the flagship event, Minister of Industries and Skill Development & Technical Education Sampad Chandra Swain on Saturday said that it was a key step in achieving the vision of Samrudh Odisha 2036 by positioning the state as a global industrial hub while driving inclusive and sustainable growth, and contributing to the national aspiration of Viksit Bharat 2047.
PM Modi will inaugurate the event on January 28 in the presence of Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Jual Oram, and Ashwini Vaishnaw.
“This conclave is not merely an investment summit but a transformative journey. Odisha is ready to lead India’s industrial revolution, and we are eager to welcome industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators to explore Odisha’s immense potential and be part of this journey that transforms dreams into reality,” he said.
Swain added that the government is hopeful of attracting investments worth Rs 5 lakh crore from this conclave to be attended by over 7,500 industry delegates, including 100+ international delegates and diplomats from 20+ countries.
Elaborating further, he said that partner countries, including Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia, will lead discussions and collaborations along with delegations from Vietnam, Zimbabwe, Kazakhstan, Venezuela, UK, USA, and Nepal.
The conclave will host three thematic sessions focusing on Start-Up Odisha, Skilled in Odisha, and Women Entrepreneurship, facilitated by SUBHADRA. Additionally, CEO Roundtables, Women Leadership Roundtables, and Editors’ Roundtables will encourage meaningful discussions and partnerships.
The Make in Odisha Expo, featuring nearly 150 exhibitors, will showcase innovative products and solutions. The expo will be opened for general public on January 30, Swain said.
“Delegates will experience Odisha’s rich cultural heritage with performances by Odisha Dance Academy on the opening day and a medley by the Culture Department on the second day. Both evenings will conclude with a spectacular Drone Show, blending tradition with technology,” he said.
The Utkarsh Odisha Conclave will spotlight sectors like technical textiles, downstream petrochemicals, specialty metals, and film and media, while advancing renewable energy, green fuels, and the circular economy, aligning with Odisha’s commitment to sustainable development and strengthening global partnerships, he added.
