Mumbai: Sony TV’s popular crime show C.I.D is set to return to the small screen after a gap of six years.
“Mark your calendars – 26th October ko hoga ek dhamakedar promo drop!” Sony TV wrote on X along with a teaser.
The teaser, featuring Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman and Aditya Srivastava as Inspector Abhijeet, starts with a close-up of wounded inspector Abhijeet. ACP Pradyuman is seen getting down from a police van, following the sound of a ticking time bomb.

Created by B. P. Singh, C.I.D. was aired on Sony Entertainment Television from 1998 to 2018.
The cast also included Dayanand Shetty as Inspector Daya, Dinesh Phadnis as Inspector Fredricks, Shraddha Musale as Dr Tarika and Narendra Gupta as Dr Salunkhe.
C.I.D became one of the longest-running television shows with 1,547 episodes.
Netizens were delighted to learn about the return of the crime show.
“I’m soo happy right now. I watch the old episodes on daily basis,” wrote one user.
