Sundargarh: A dedicated call centre has been opened at the of Sundargarh collectorate to connect with the beneficiaries of government schemes and programmes of the district.
Having two-way communication facility, the call center will not only help the district administration get the people’s feedback but also create awareness among the target population on different welfare programmes.
District Mineral Foundation (DMF), Sundargarh, has provided financial support for the project which is aligned with the objectives of ‘Mo Sarkar’ & 5T.
The call centre, which can be contacted on toll- free number 911141182138, will remain open from 9 am to 6 pm on all working days.
“This initiative is a step towards adoption of technology in the governance and achieving transparency in the system. I hope it will give an ear to the people of Sundargarh and support the administration to receive, review and resolve any kind of issue. Moreover, we will use mechanism to spread awareness among the stake holders under different flagship programs of the government.” said collector Nikhil Pavan Kalyan after ianugurating the call centre on Thursday.
“The spirit of 5T and Mo Sarkaar is being taken forward by enabling feedback mechanism through the call centre in which we will touch all the field staff and functionaries to follow up on effective service delivery, especially WCD and Health. We will first focus on pregnant woman tracking and to reduce stunting and low weight of children,” he said.
The call centre will engage the target beneficiaries through Tele-call, SMS, recorded voice message and emails.
