Yes, you heard that right.
A 29-year-old man died in Delhi after he was allegedly beaten up following an altercation over a delayed order at a restaurant.
According to police, the victim, identified as Harneet Singh Sachdeva, was thrashed and stabbed to death with kebab skewers.
Three persons, including the owners of the eatery and a staffer, have been arrested, DCP (West) Vichitra Veer told India Today.
The incident took place late on Wednesday when Harneet went to a dhaba and placed an order. Irked by delay in his order, the 29-year-old got into an argument and, subsequently an altercation, with the restaurant staff.
The owners — Ketan Narula and Ajay Narula – were contacted, and they arrived at the restaurant with some other people.
A full-fledged fight then broke out, and Harneet was beaten up with kebab skewers.
He was rushed to a hospital by, where doctors declared him brought dead, the DCP said.
A relative of Harneet told PTI that some of the victim’s friends were passing by the area when they spotted his scooter near the eatery, and took him to the hospital.
Harneet’s wife was pregnant, his mother told PTI.
“What was my son’s fault that they killed him? We want justice for my child,” she said.
