Mumbai: Former Team India captain MS Dhoni thrilled fans by recreating a scene from Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ in an advertisement.
In the advertisement, which also features ‘Animal’ director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, ‘Captain Cool’ Dhoni is seen sporting a wig a la Ranvijay Singh, Ranbir’s character in the film, and also heard delivering the actor’s dialogues.
As the ad begins, Dhoni steps out of his luxury car, and crosses the road holding an electric cycle in his hand, instead of a gun.
Director Vanga shouts, “Cut!” and praises Dhoni for the shot. “Mind-blowing, fantastic, maza aa gaya sir. Log seetiyan marenge bilkul. (I enjoyed it. People will whistle).”
As the director whistles loudly, Dhoni replies using Ranbir’s dialogue from ‘Animal.’
“Sunayi de raha hai mujhe, behra nahi hu main (I can hear you, I’m not deaf),” Dhoni says.
Vanga’s response: “Ab hua na mera hero ready (Now my hero is ready)”.
Vanga shared the advertisement on his social media handle with the caption, ‘Animal For A Reason.’

Reacting to the video, actor Bobby Deol, who played the antagonist in ‘Animal’, wrote, “toooooo cool,” along with fire and clapping emojis.
Actor Veer Pahariya commented, “Too good.”
A fan wrote, “Oh my god! Absolute fire.”
Another commented, “Thala in Animal mode.”
“Unexpected Collaboration,” said another netizen.
‘Animal’, which also starred Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Triptii Dimri in key roles, left cash registers ringing at the box office.
However, the film was also criticised by many for promoting toxic masculinity and misogyny.
Dhoni is currently preparing for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season.
