Bhubaneswar A car went up in flames after being hit by a truck and dragged for about 100 metres in front of Baramunda ground in Bhubaneswar late on Monday.
According to sources, Biswajit Sitar of Jagamara, who was driving the car, managed to get out of the car before it caught fire. Sitar, however, sustained head injuries in the accident, which took place while he was descending the fire station overbridge.
The car was completely burnt down before Fire Service personnel could reach the spot.
On being informed, Khandagiri police reached the spot and got the injured admitted to the hospital. Efforts are on to nab the truck driver, who fled the scene soon after the accident.
