Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday chaired a review meeting of the Home Department over the Nashik conversion case. He said religious conversion cases would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

During the meeting, the status of investigations into the Nashik conversion case was assessed, reported ANI. Several key directives were issued to the Police Department, reports claimed.

‘Similar incidents occurred in Axis Bank…’

His wife, Amruta Fadnavis, termed the Nashik case serious, calling for strict action and greater vigilance. She also referred to past instances where employer reporting led to action. She claimed that similar incidents in Axis Bank, her previous employer, were successfully prevented through whistleblowing, reported New Indian Express.
Where is Nida Khan?

The mystery surrounding Nida Khan, one of the accused in the Nashik TCS-linked BPO harassment and religious coercion case, has deepened, with police claiming she is absconding while her family insists she is in Mumbai and not in hiding.

In a fresh development, police officials said Khan’s phone was switched off and her residence was found locked when officers attempted to trace her. Investigators are now trying to establish her whereabouts as the probe widens.

Khan has been named in one of the FIRs linked to the larger case that has rocked the Nashik unit of the BPO associated with Tata Consultancy Services. Authorities have so far registered multiple FIRs and arrested several employees over allegations ranging from sexual harassment to religious intimidation and coercion.

However, Khan’s family has strongly denied the police version. According to relatives, she is currently staying in Mumbai at a relative’s residence and is expecting a child. They have also rejected claims that she was a senior HR official, saying she worked as a tele-caller in the sales team and not in the human resources department.

The family has further alleged that her social media photograph was misused online, with false claims circulated describing her as the “HR head” of the Nashik office. They maintain she has been wrongly targeted in the controversy.

Meanwhile, police sources have described Khan as a key accused who allegedly attempted to suppress complaints and shield others named in the case. Officials said evidence recovered during the investigation includes call records, emails and chats that are being examined.

The case first came to light after a woman employee filed a complaint in March, accusing a colleague of sexual exploitation under the false promise of marriage. Subsequent complaints from other employees led to a wider investigation into alleged workplace abuse and religious harassment.

Separately, Tata Consultancy Services has launched an internal probe and said it follows a zero-tolerance policy toward coercion, misconduct and harassment.
