Mumbai: The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has axed some words and dialogues from the Kiara Advani starrer ‘Indoo Ki Jawani’.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, the board has replaced the slang ‘haramzade’ with the word ‘aatankvaadi’.
Besides this, a dialogue on crime against women in Delhi has been dumped and replaced by: “Crime against women aaj kal jitna ho raha hai na uska koi jawab nahi hai tumhare paas… tolerant ke naam par to fraud ho tum log.”
‘Indoo Ki Jawani’ revolves around a free-spirited girl from Ghaziabad, Indira Gupta aka Indoo, who turns to dating app Tinder to find love.
She gets hooked to Samar, but later comes to know that he is a Pakistani national who has disguised himself as a native of Hyderabad.
She then starts suspecting Samar, while the latter swears he is innocent.
Kiara recently took to her Instagram handle to share that the film will be releasing in theatres.
“It’s Happening!!! #IndooKiJawani in cinemas near you on 11th December 2020,” she wrote.
The film has been bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar (T-Series), Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, Nikkhil Advani (Emmay Entertainment), Niranjan Iyengar, and Ryan Stephens (Electric Apples Entertainment).
