CBI Files Charge Sheet Against Lalu Prasad, Rabi Devi & Tejashwi Yadav

New Delhi: The CBI, on Monday, filed a charge sheet against former railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, wife Rabri Devi, son Tejaswi Yadav among 12 people and two companies, in connection with alleged irregularities in grant of an operational contract of two IRCTC hotels to a private firm.

The charge sheet was also filed against Union minister Prem Chand Gupta, wife Sarla Gupta and then group general manager of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) BK Agarwal and several others.

The case was registered in July last year and searches were carried out at 12 locations including cities like Patna, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar and Gurugram.

The charge sheet mentions between 2004 and 2014 the tender process was allegedly rigged and given on lease to a private firm Sujata Hotel Private Limited. The conspiracy was allegedly hatched with BNR hotels located in Puri and Ranchi.
