Mumbai: The hashtag #CBIGrillCooperDoctors was trending all through Monday with netizens alleging foul play in the postmortem of Sushant Singh Rajput, and pointing out several inconsistencies in the report.
They also demanded that the CBI grill doctors at Cooper Hospital, who performed an autopsy on the late actor.
In an interview with Times Now, Sushant’s family’s lawyer Vikas Singh said that if the actor had juice in the morning, it should have been shown in the report. He added that he had never seen an autopsy report where the time of death was not mentioned.
Meanwhile, the CBI team again visited the Cooper Hospital to question the doctors concerned, besides quizzing the actor’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani and his cook Neeraj Singh on the events before his death.
The doctors were questioned as to why there was no mention of the time of death in the autopsy report.
According to a report by Times Now, AIIMS forensic chief Sudhir Gupta had also pointed out discrepancies in the postmortem report. Submitting his suspicion to CBI, he had said that police should have taken a second opinion from doctors as why time of Sushant’s death was not mentioned in it.
Sushant was found hanging at his Bandra residence on June 14 afternoon and his autopsy was conducted the following day.
