New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has invited applications for the CBSE Merit Scholarship Programme’ 2019 for single girl child taking up studies at the higher secondary level.
The scheme was launched to reward meritorious girl students who are the only child of their parents.

Eligibility:
Students, who are single girl child in a family, are eligible for the scholarship, provided they have secured a minimum of 60 per cent marks in the CBSE Class X board examinations.
Students should have enrolled for Class XI in a CBSE affiliated school for availing the scholarship scheme. The tuition fee in that particular school should not be more than Rs 1,500 per month.
The scholarship:
Students will be entitled to receive Rs 500 per month. The scheme will remain in vogue until the student completes her plus-two studies.
As per a CBSE bulletin, the last date for submission of the online application is October 18 and the hard copy of the application form (renewal only) has to be submitted by November 15.
CBSE has also invited applications for the renewal of the 2018 scholarship scheme.
