Ahead of announcing the schedule for the 2020 board exams, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the sample question papers for Classes X and XII.
CBSE has also released the marking scheme to be followed for each paper in the upcoming board exams, likely in February-March 2020.
In August, the board had announced major changes in question patterns for both Class X and Class XII exams from 2020.
The number of descriptive questions in Class X exams has been reduced to make the paper less lengthy.
The number of descriptive questions in Class XII papers such as Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Accountancy has also been reduced.
There will be more internal choices and practical internal assessments in all the subjects will carry 20 marks.
Objective type questions of one mark each will range from 25 per cent in the English Core and Mathematics papers to 40 per cent in the Biology paper.
