Bhubaneswar: Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday informed the Rajya Sabha that the Centre has modified the alignment of the proposed Gopalpur-Digha coastal highway.
The Union Minister, in a written reply to a question of the BJD Rajya Sabha member Sujeet Kumar, said as per the requirement of the Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC) of Ministry of Environment Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC), the alignment of 430 km Gopalpur-Digha Coastal Highway in Odisha has been modified to 382 km.
Accordingly, the Detailed Project Report (DPR) along the modified alignment has been taken up, Gadkari added.
