Bhubaneswar: The Central government has sanctioned two new special railway projects in Odisha. The approved projects are two new broad gauge railway lines in the state.
The Ministry of Railways (East Coast Railway-Construction) issued a notification in The Gazette of India -Extraordinary in this regard.
The special projects are a new broad gauge railway line between Talcher and Angul with a ‘Y’ connection at Talcher and a new broad gauge railway line from Bargarh Road to Nauapada Road.
The new railway lines between Talcher and Angul and from Bargarh to Nuapada Road are under the jurisdiction of East Coast Railway (EcoR) with a length of 16.50 km and 142 km respectively.
