Cuttack: The locals of Jobra area here on Monday thrashed a chain snatcher and handed him over to the police.
The incident took place around 10 am near the Jobra Road when the anti-social tried to snatch the gold chain from the neck of a woman constable, who was on her way to the Malgodown police station.

The woman constable managed to overpower the miscreant and shouted for help. At this, the locals came to her rescue and severely thrashed the miscreant.
Following information, police rushed to the spot and took the miscreant to the police station.
