Mumbai: Ahead of the release of ‘Border 2′ on January 23, actor Varun Dhawan held a #VarunSays session on his X handle for fans on Tuesday.
An X user named Ali Haider Meerani, whose bio mentioned that he is from Sindh (Pakistan) shared that he is a big fan of Sunny Deol and inquired about the release of ‘Border 2’ in his country.
The Pakistani fan wrote, “Bhai aapki Border 2 Pakistan mein kab release hogi aur main Tara Singh ka bahut bada fan hoon, unko mera salaam kehna (Brother, when will Border 2 release in Pakistan? I am a huge fan of Tara Singh, please convey my greetings to him).”
Varun’s witty reply: “Border 2 is a film based on the 1971 war and some true events around that. I’m sure Sunny sir ke Pakistan mein bhi fans hain (Sunny sir has fans in Pakistan as well).”
Another fan asked the actor about his physical transformation for the film.
“Border 2 ke liye physical preparation kaise ki? Kitna workout kiya real war hero ke role ke liye?” inquired the user.
Varun’s response: “Bahut prepare karna tha. I, in fact, injured my tailbone while shooting the Battle of Basantar. I shot 40 days in Babina for that with real soldiers. #VarunSays.”
When a fan asked the actor about ‘Border 2’ script, Varun said, “A war can never be won by an individual; it takes all forces to come together. In #Border2, we have the army, navy, and air force together, oh yes, and also the one-man army Sunny Deol.”
When another fan asked what they can expect from the film, the actor replied, “It’s based on the 1971 war, and that, as we all know, was a war filled with a lot of casualties on both sides. There were a lot of sacrifices made by our soldiers to win, so some amazing stories.”
