Jagatsinghpur: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the bridge over the Biluakhai River here through video conferencing on Friday.
Naveen also laid the foundation stone for Maternal & Childcare hospital here.
Taking to the twitter, Naveen said “the foundation stone of the 100-bedded Maternal & ChildCare Hospital and ICU facility has been laid to take care of the health of mothers and children in the district. Jagatsinghpur district, which has a reputation in both the agricultural and industrial sectors, will be instrumental in further strengthening healthcare.”

The bridge over the Biluakhai River near Sankhari Sahi of Jagatsinghpur has been built at a cost of Rs 61.42 crore. The foundation stone of this bridge was laid in October 2016.

“A new chapter has been introduced in the transportation and healthcare facilities for the people of Jagatsinghpur. The inaugurated Biluakhai Bridge will give a new direction to economic growth. The bridge will connect Jagatsinghpur district headquarter with Baishmouza in Cuttack, thereby reducing the distance between Jagatsinghpur and Bhubaneswar,” the chief minister added.
