Bhubaneswar: A high-level meeting was held in Bhubaneswar on Friday to review security arrangements ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s
visit to the State in mid-April.
Chief Secretary A P Padhi, who chaired the meeting, laid emphasis on greater synergy between different agencies and forces being deployed for the PM’s security.
The chief secretary informed that security has been tightened at railway stations, bus terminals, important markets and different localities in the state capital.
The meeting was attended by development commissioner R Balakrishnan, DGP K B Singh and senior officers from fire and health departments.
The PM will arrive in Bhubaneswar on April 15 to attend the national executive meeting of BJP scheduled at Janata Maidan here. He will leave on April 16, official sources said.
