The patient weighing only 12 kg when she was admitted to SUM Cardiology OPD. She was evaluated by Associate Professor of the Cardiology department, Dr Kumar Gaurav. After several tests, it was found that the girl was having a large ventricular septal defect with severe obstruction in pulmonary artery.

Due to the problem, the oxygen level in her body was only 40-45 degrees Celsius, said Dr. Gaurav, who referred the patient to Sangram Keshari Behera, Associate Professor CTVS.
