Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, has amended the Plus II syllabus by rectifying mistakes in some subjects and issued the annual academic calendar on the examinations scheduled next year.
According to a senior CHSE official, mistakes in some subjects in the Plus II syllabus prepared in the CBSE pattern in 2016 had come to the notice of the Council during the annual examinations this year.
“To ensure mistake-free syllabus, the syllabus committee of the Council has recently made necessary amendment to the syllabus by rectifying mistakes found in 150 subjects after a thorough deliberation. The newly-amended syllabus would be uploaded on the CHSE website www.chseodisha.nic.in soon,” he added.
The official further said that the Council has also issued the annual academic calendar for the annual and instant examinations in 2019.
According to the calendar, there would be no change in the schedule for the annual Plus II examinations which would begin in the first week of March.
The practical examinations would be conducted between January 18 and 30 while the results of the Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational Education would be announced by June 10.
The form fill-up for the ex-Regular students would be completed by September 29 while for the Regular students the process would be completed by November 17.
“Apart from this, the Council has directed all Plus II colleges to complete annual sports events by the end of December,” the official added.
