Ahead Of Plus II Exams In Odisha, CHSE Issues Advisory For Students; Check Do’s & Dont’s

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Thursday advised students appearing for Plus II exams to reach their respective centres at least half an hour before commencement of the exams.

In an advisory issued for the benefit of all candidates, CHSE reminded students that only black ballpoint pens and admit cards will be allowed inside the examination halls.

The annual exams get underway on Friday.

DETAILED ADVISORY FOR STUDENTS

* Reach exam centre half an hour before the commencement of exam.

* Items other than black ballpoint pens and admit cards will not be allowed in the examination hall.

* Enter the hall 15 minutes in advance, you will get the answer copy 10 minutes in advance.

* You will get the question paper 5 minutes in advance.

* Check serial number and page number of the answer sheet well and inform immediately in case of an error.

* If there is a page number or printing error in the question paper, inform immediately.

* Additional answer sheets will not be provided.

* Students will be barred from writing exams if they put any mark or write anything except for roll number on the question paper.

* Write roll number and registration number at designated place in the answer sheet.

* Write set code of the question paper accurately.

* Submit attendance by checking your roll number in attendance sheet.

The exams will be held in one shift, from 10 am to 1 pm, under CCTV surveillance.

The Plus II exams will conclude on March 20, while the results are likely to be announced around first week of May.

A total of 3,84,597 students (3,59,039 regular and 25,558 ex-regular) across different streams like Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational Education will appear in the Plus II exams this year. It marks an increase of 26,655 students than the previous year.

A total of 2.21 lakh regular students in Arts, 1.08 lakh in Science, 24,157 in Commerce and 4,978 in Vocational Steam will write their papers.

The exams of Science stream will kick off with the Odia paper on February 16.

Exams of Arts and Commerce streams will start with Odia paper on February 17.

For Vocational Education stream, the exams will begin with English paper on February 19.
