Bhubaneshwar: The Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Bhubaneswar has been accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) for testing and certification of PPE kit.
The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers in a release on Sunday said the Institute of Plastics Technology Centre of the CIPET was accredited after an online audit of its testing facility.
“This is another achievement of CIPET in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic and a step forward towards Atmanirbhar Bharat,” the ministry said.
CIPET, a premium institute under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, has been testing and providing personal protection equipment (PPE) kit to frontline workers engaged in various jobs related to COVID-19. The kit includes gloves, coverall, face shield and goggles, and a triple-layer medical mask.
DV Sadananda Gowda, Union Minister, Chemicals and Fertilizers has congratulated CIPET, Bhubaneshwar for achieving this feat.
