Srinagar: At least 12 civilians were injured in a grenade blast at a crowded flea market near the heavily-guarded Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) in Srinagar on Sunday.
According to reports, the grenade was lobbed outside the TRC playground when there was a huge rush of shoppers at the weekly ‘Sunday market’. The injured have been taken to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital for treatment.

News Agency PTI, however, has put the number of injured at 5. Police and paramilitary forces have launched a search operation to trace the terrorists, it added.
This comes a day after a top Pakistani commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was eliminated by security forces in Khanyar locality of downtown Srinagar.
