Bhadrak: A Class I boy died after a plaque of a road project plaque fell on him near Uchapada Primary School in Odisha’s Bhadrak district on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Asit Nayak (6), son of Soubhagya Ranjan Nayak of Uchhapada village under Dhamnagar block.
According to sources, the incident took place during recess hours when the boy was playing after the midday meal. He sustained head injuries and was rushed to the district headquarters hospital, where he was declared him dead on arrival.
The villagers have blamed the teachers and school administration for not supervising the students during the break.
