Close Shave For Driver, Helper As Truck Catches Fire In Keonjhar

Anandpur: Driver and helper of a truck had a miraculous escape after the vehicle caught fire near Belda area in Keonjhar district on Saturday.

The truck was badly damaged in the incident and hampered vehicular movement on the road for more than two hours.

According to available information, the duo jumped out of the vehicle on spotting flames coming out from the rear of the truck.

Later, the fire services personnel and police were called in.

“We will look into the matter to ascertain the cause of the fire. Nothing can be said as of now,” a fir official said.

However, locals suspect that a short circuit in the wiring inside the vehicle could have triggered the fire.
