Cloth Used By Sushant Singh Rajput To Hang Himself Will Undergo ‘Tensile’ Analysis
Mumbai: Mumbai police is leaving no stone unturned in probing Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case.
After two post-mortem reports and a viscera analysis, the investigators are now going to conduct a ‘tensile strength’ test of the cloth used by Sushant to hang himself at his Bandra residence last month.
An official said on Friday that the ‘tensile strength’ test is being conducted to determine whether the cloth used by the actor was capable of bearing his weight or not.
According to reports, Sushant hanged himself to death using a green-coloured cotton night gown.
Police has sent the gown to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in suburban Kalina for chemical and forensic analysis.
It will take three more days to get the final forensic report which will help in determining if there was any foul play involved in the actor’s death, said the official.
Forensic experts will also check the pattern of ligature marks around the actor’s neck to ascertain the cause of death.
“Usually, it takes eight to ten working days to get report from the FSL in regular cases. But since this case is sensitive, experts are taking more precautions to avoid any kind of error in the analysis,” said the official.
The final forensic report of the actor’s mobile phone is also awaited.
