Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday approved Rs 1.44 crore for 32 projects in four panchayats of Koraput, Jajpur, Sambalpur and Ganjam districts under Ama Gaon Ama Vikash Yojana.
Of the 32 projects, 9 projects would be implemented in Subai gram panchayat of Koraput district at a cost of Rs 39 lakh and as many projects in Rasulpur gram panchayat of Jajpur district at a cost of Rs 37 lakh, 8 projects in Bhojapur gram panchayat of Sambalpur district at a cost of Rs 35 lakh and 6 projects in Babanapur gram panchayat of Ganjam district at a cost of Rs 33 lakh.
While interacting with Sarpanchs of these three Gram Panchayats through video conferencing at the State Secretariat here, the Chief Minister granted financial assistance after considering their project infrastructure proposal.
To make Ama Gaon Ama Vikash Yojana of the state government successful, Naveen advised the Sarpanchs to expedite the project work for timely completion with thorough supervision to ensure quality work.
People of these four panchayats praised the initiative and efforts of the Chief Minister for the development of their village.
It may be mentioned that Ama Gaon Ama Vikash Yojana was launched in the state on March 5 this year.
Under the Yojana, the Chief Minister interacts with the villagers on Wednesday and Friday every week about the development in their village.
Among others, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Panchayati Raj were present during the video conferencing, while the collectors of Koraput, Jajpur, Sambalpur and Ganjam districts interacted with the Chief Minister from their respective district headquarters.
