Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday sanctioned Rs 38.45 crore for 171 panchayats in 10 blocks of eight districts under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana at the block level.
The Chief Minister sanctioned the amount for 1,746 projects after interacting with the block representatives through video conferencing at the State Secretariat here.
Of the sanctioned amount, Rs 3.91 crore has been earmarked for 229 projects in 23 panchayats of Barapali block in Baragarh district, Rs 5.63 crore for 369 projects in 24 panchayats of Brahmagiri block in Puri district, Rs five crore for 213 projects in 24 panchayats of Kashipur block in Rayagada district and Rs 3.71 crore for 168 projects in 17 panchayats of Bamara block in Sambalpur district.
The CM also sanctioned Rs 3.41 crore for 175 projects in 13 panchayats of Laxmipur block of Koraput district, Rs 4.34 crore for 158 projects in 17 panchayats of Kotapada block of Koraput district, Rs 4.80 crore for 104 projects in 20 panchayats of Patana block of Keonjhar district, Rs 2.40 crore for 139 projects in 12 panchayats of Karalamunda block in Kalahandi district, Rs three crore for 95 projects of 12 panchayats of Udala block in Mayurbhanj district and Rs 2.25 crore for 96 projects of nine panchayats of Rairangpur block in Mayurbhanj district.
Adding today’s sanctioned amount, the Chief Minister has allocated a total of Rs 882.10 crore for 35,858 projects in 3,888 panchayats of 175 blocks.
It may be noted that under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana, the Chief Minister is discussing the proposals directly with the villagers and then he is sanctioning the amount for the proposed projects.
