CM Inaugurates Adarsha Vidyalaya, Lays Stones Of Other Projects In Ganjam
Berhampur: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated Biju Patnaik Adarsha Vidyalaya at Rangeilunda block in Ganjam district on Saturday. He also laid the foundation stone of many other developmental projects the same day.
The cost of all the inaugurated and foundation-stone-laid developmental projects has been estimated at around Rs 300 crore.
The Biju Patnaik Adarsha Vidyalaya in Palur Hills near Konisi here, is a mega urban educational infrastructure built by the ST and SC Development Department with an investment of Rs 45 crore. Constructed over an area of 7.65 acres, it has an academic building, a boys’ hostel, a girls’ hostel and 45 staff quarters.
It has been planned with an aim to provide urban English Medium Education (Class-VI to XII) to Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Scheduled Caste (SC) students of Odisha. A total of 1,500 ST and SC students can be accommodated in this residential school.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated various projects, including new HRD centre building, library and academic block of Berhampur Universit, under Gopalpur assembly constituency.
Among others, ST and SC Development Minister Ramesh Majhi, MP Sidhant Mohapatra and Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi were present.
