Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday said the state government will extend full support to ensure quick restoration work in Ganjam district, which has been ravaged by flood and landslide following heavy downpour triggered by cyclone Arnab.
The Chief Minister held detailed discussion with key representatives from the affected region, including Fisheries & ARD Minister Gokulananda Mallik, and several MLAs from Ganjam. Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari was also present at the meeting.

Responding to their concerns, Majhi reassured the delegates that the state government is fully aware of the ground realities. He firmly stated that the people of Ganjam will not be left to face this crisis alone.
The Chief Minister said the state government has already briefed the visiting Central Team about the widespread destruction. Detailed discussions were held regarding the specific losses suffered by Ganjam, ensuring that the district’s recovery needs are recognised at the national level.
To accelerate the recovery process, Majhi asked the Revenue Minister to expedite the distribution of comprehensive relief packages to all affected citizens.
