Bhubaneswar: In a major boost to Odisha’s agricultural sector, one ton of premium-quality green papaya was recently exported from Dhenkanal to London.
The export of papayas, grown by female farmers of Saptasajya FPC Ltd in Dhenkanal, was facilitated by the state’s Agriculture department, Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) and Palladium Consulting India.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi underlined the importance of first-ever shipment of green papaya to London.
