Ayodhya/Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, who is on a 3-day trip to Uttar Pradesh, made a pitch for Odisha Bhawan in Ayodhya during his visit to Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Temple with his family.
“A lot of people from Odisha are visiting Ayodhya for darshan of Ram Lalla. I have been thinking of building a government bhawan here for their convenience. I will take it up with UP CM Yogi Adityanath and request him for land for Odisha Bhawan,” he said.
Majhi expressed happiness over the contribution of artisans from Odisha in building the Ram Temple. “I could not make it to the Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav and had wished to visit the temple for a long time. I am very fortunate to have had the grand and divine darshan of Ramlalla ji yesterday evening,” he said.
The CM took a dip in the Triveni Sangam at Mahakumbh near Prayagraj on the first day of his visit on February 23. He later made a trip to Ayodhya later that evening.
On February 24, he visited Dhamek Stupa at Sarnath. “It is an honour to visit Sarnath, a place where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon, a message of peace, wisdom, and enlightenment. I am deeply moved by the efforts made to preserve and showcase this heritage, signifying our timeless values of compassion and knowledge, to visitors from around the world. My heartfelt gratitude to the people who have been instrumental in maintaining this historic site,” the CM posted on X.
He later attended the closing ceremony of the Kashi Tamil Sangamam at Kashi, where he engaged with Prime Minister Narendra Modi through AI technology, asking a question and capturing a photo. The CM also visited Namo Ghat.
“The ancient tradition of Tamil Nadu and Kashi represents a cultural, spiritual, and religious confluence. This deep-rooted connection has long fostered strong coordination between the North and South…,” he told the media.
