Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday inaugurated India’s first Skill Museum on the premises of the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Khapuria, Cuttack.
After the inauguration, the Chief Minister walked around the museum and felicitated the winners of regional skill competitions.
“I am sure that initiatives like the Skill Museum will have a significant impact on attracting our youth towards skill education. More such museums will come up in other ITIs of the state in the near future,” the Chief Minister said.
“The museum, established in an area of 2600 sq ft houses skill-based equipment, a world-class exhibition area and an auditorium constructed with an investment of Rs 73 lakh. The museum will definitely promote skills through ITI,” said Skill Development and Technical Education Minister, Usha Devi.
Law Minister Pratap Jena and senior officials of the state government were present on the occasion.
