Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi resolved the salary issue of the teachers of Christ Collegiate School in Cuttack during public hearing on Tuesday.
The school’s teachers informed the chief minister in the public hearing that they had not been paid their salary for three months as nobody had been appointed to the headmistress post so far. The chief minister immediately directed the Education director to resolve the matter.
Majhi assured the teachers that one of them would be appointed as headmistress on seniority basis and their salary disbursed soon.
The chief minister also personally heard the grievances of around 1,000 people who had turned up at the public hearing. The working and retired teachers of the Blind School submitted their grievances to him.
Besides, representatives of different communities, organisations and associations and differently challenged people had personal meeting with Majhi to convey their problems. The chief minister patiently heard their issues till late evening and assured them of resolving those soon.
