On September 27, yellow warning for heavy rain has been issued for one or two places in Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal and Puri and there will be little change in the weather condition in the subsequent two days, it said.

According to ‘North Indian Ocean Extended Range Outlook for Cyclogenesis’ issued by the IMD, two cyclonic circulations are likely to form over the Bay of Bengal within the next 13 days. “The guidance from various numerical models including IMD GFS, GEFS, ECMWF, NCUM, NEPS, NCEP GFS does not indicate any cyclogenesis over the North Indian Ocean during the next two weeks.
